MOTORCYCLE TOUR OF SPITI VALLEY

You are welcomed at a pre assigned hotel in the morning upon arrival in Manali. Take some time to check in and freshen up post which you will be introduced to your team that will brief you about the journey ahead on Foothills of Spiti Motorcycle Tour.

Following this, you would be introduced to the bikes, Hero Xpulse or Royal Enfield Classic 500 / Himalayans that you will be riding on your motorcycle tour of Spiti Valley

We kick of the tour with a ride around Manali wherein not only would you be getting comfortable with the bikes but also visiting many places of interest in Manali like Naggar castle, Solang valley etc. The expected ride is around 60 kms and offers first timers to Himalayas a chance to get familiar with the sharp turns and riding on the hills, as a group, under an experienced tour leader.  We return to our hotel by evening for a briefing session followed by dinner.

( Chandertaal – Kunzum La – Kaza – Kibber – Langza – Hikkim – Komic – Chicham – Kaza )

This is a day of many Highlights. It begins with us crossing the Kunzum Pass and riding to Kaza, the main town and cultural centre of the Spiti Valley. We begin early so we can reach Kaza by early afternoon. After checking in to our homestay, we would explore the beautiful Ki monastery, Kibber village, Langza, Hikkim, Komic and the world’s highest suspension bridge, Chicham. Return to homestay for an authentic local dinner served by our gracious hosts.  

( Kaza – Dhankar – Tabo – Kaza )

Today we are exploring the Town and its surroundings. Our main goal for this day is to ride to Dhankar and Tabo monasteries. We ride across some of the most breathtaking roads enroute these monasteries and each of them are uniquely seeped in history. Tabo being more than a thousand years old. We meet the lamas at the monastery and see their way of life first hand. We also visit the naturally preserved Mummy of Sangha Tenzin, a Tibetan monk in Guevillage. Upon return to Kaza, Evening is free for you to explore the local market.

( Kaza – Losar – Batal – Koksar – Manali )

The last day of ride, we travel back from Kaza to Manali along the now familiar roads. We get another chance for some photography at Kunzum pass and any other spots that we might have missed first time around.  We aim to reach Manali by early evening where we officially end our tour and huddle one more time before disbanding with memories for a lifetime.
